Three Year Program: Begins in the fall term only.

Requirements for Admission into Dental Hygiene Program:

  1. 30 credit hours at a community college or 4-year institution with a 2.5 GPA or higher.

  2. Completion of the following pre-requisite courses. Please refer to the transfer equivalency guides at www.lsa.umich.edu/students/transfer/equivalencies to determine if the course at your community college will transfer for credit.
    • English Composition Class
    • Speech
    • Psychology
    • Sociology
    • Chemistry (preferably with Lab)
  3. It is recommended that electives be taken in the following areas:
    • Biology
    • Literature
    • Additional English Composition Course
